Ethnography Lab: Summer Ethnographic Dissertation Writing Bursary

The Ethnography Lab invites applications from post-fieldwork doctoral students for a bursary valued at $6000 to support 15 weeks of intensive ethnographic writing in the period May 1 to August 31, 2019.  The bursary is intended primarily for students who do not hold a major grant (eg CGS, Trudeau, Vanier) at the time of application, and who would benefit from uninterrupted summer writing time, with weekly checking in/ support. Applicants should submit a 500 word statement outlining the progress they have made on dissertation writing thus far (eg how many chapters have been drafted, has committee feedback been received), and what they plan to accomplish during the 15 week period. The application should be supported by a signature and/or brief email from a supervisor or committee member confirming the writer’s progress.  Please submit applications by March 27 to tania.li@utoronto.ca
