The Ethnography Lab would like to announce an upcoming workshop organized by our colleagues Carolin Genz and Dr. Aylin Yildirim Tschoepe at the Urban Ethnography Lab (an offshoot of the EL). The workshop, entitled Beyond Urban Transformation, will be held at Humboldt University in Berlin at the Georg Simmel Centre for Metropolitan Studies, and is funded by KOSMOS. Themes for the workshop will focus on ethnographic fieldwork methods for understanding topics related to urban transformation, such as urban resilience and urban commons. Participants and speakers (sorry, the program is already complete) will come from several different countries and have experience in a range of disciplines and non-academic backgrounds, such as art and design.
