Are you writing your dissertation or recently finished and wondering how to turn your dissertation into a book manuscript? This workshop is meant to address the What (types of manuscripts are UPs looking for), When (in your career), Where (to try to get a contract) and How (to write a book proposal) of navigating academic publishing for early career ethnographers. Part One of the workshop will feature brief presentations by the Anthropology acquisitions editor at U of T Press, Stephen Campbell (back in town for his book launch), and other early TT anthropologists in the process of turning their dissertations into book manuscripts, and Part Two will be an informal Q & A and discussion.
